Product description

Classic Cream of Wild Rice Soup loaded with wild rice, onions, celery, and mushrooms in a rich, creamy vegetarian broth is a tradition in Minnesota. We used to make this soup from scratch, doing lots of chopping and sautéeing, measuring and stirring. When we discovered how to streamline the prep without sacrificing any flavor, this soup mix quickly became our number one seller.

Distinctively Nutty Wild Rice paired perfectly with onions, celery, and mushrooms in a thick, rich vegetarian broth. Customers have added slivered almonds, julienned carrots, and diced chicken and turkey.

Cook Time: 35 minutes in Instant Pot, 3-6 hours in a slow cooker or 2 - 3 hours in a pot on the stove.

Instructions: Stir package ingredients into 7 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer and cook until done. Before serving, add 1/2 cup of half-and-half, dairy or non-dairy. Add cubed cooked chicken or ham, if desired.

Store packages in a cool, dry, dark cupboard. For extended storage or hot humid environments, pack in a ziplock bag and store in your freezer.

Only 86 calories per serving.

About The Secret Garden: The seeds were sown for The Secret Garden in 1984, when Anne Morgan created her first soup mix using locally harvested wild rice and vegetables from her organic garden. Her convenient, time-saving Cream of Wild Rice Soup Mix was an immediate hit in Minnesota, where wild rice soup is a tradition. She created more mixes, always balancing nutrition with ease of preparation, never compromising on yield or flavor. Today, The Secret Garden is still committed to producing wholesome mixes that are easy to prepare and taste like homemade—because they are. Thank you for inviting us to your table!
